Overview
Hosted Stripe MCP server that lets an AI assistant read payments, subscriptions, invoices, customers and revenue data from a Stripe account.
- What you can do
- Retrieve account details, balance and balance transactions, including Stripe Connect accounts and application fees
- List and fetch charges, payment intents, payment methods, refunds, disputes, payouts, transfers and top-ups
- List and fetch customers, invoices, invoice items, credit notes, checkout sessions and setup intents
- List products, prices, plans, coupons, promotion codes, shipping rates and subscription schedules
- List Radar fraud warnings and reviews, webhook events, and uploaded files and file links
- When to use it
- Useful when you want to ask an assistant plain-language questions about Stripe finances, such as current balance, active subscription counts, or recent failed payments, without building your own integration. It is read-only, so it suits reporting and investigation rather than changing anything in Stripe.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint added to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code; no local package. OAuth sign-in to InsightfulPipe is required, and ChatGPT needs Developer mode with plan and admin availability. A paid InsightfulPipe subscription (plans from $29.99/month, 7-day trial) and a connected Stripe account.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Stripe MCP by InsightfulPipe in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

What is Stripe MCP?
Stripe MCP is a remote Model Context Protocol server hosted by InsightfulPipe. Access payments, subscriptions, invoices, customers, charges, refunds, and financial data from your Stripe account.
Installation
Claude
- Copy the MCP Server URL:
https://stripe.insightfulmcp.com/ - Open Claude Connectors Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and click Add custom connector
- Paste the URL and click Add
- Click Connect and sign in to InsightfulPipe if asked. Claude then lists the connector as connected.
ChatGPT
Custom MCP servers are added through ChatGPT's Developer mode. Availability depends on your ChatGPT plan, and workspace admins may need to allow it.
- Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT settings
- Create a new app for a remote MCP server and paste the URL:
https://stripe.insightfulmcp.com/ - Sign in to InsightfulPipe if asked. The connection finishes as soon as you are signed in.

Control What Your AI Can Do
You decide what AI agents can do with each connected account:
- Turn individual actions on or off for every connected account, so agents only see the actions you allow.
- Connect as Read-only or Read & Write. A read-only connection can only enable read actions.
- Destructive actions stay off by default. Actions such as deletes are disabled until an admin enables them.
- Team access per account. Restricted team members only use the accounts they are granted, with the read actions enabled on them.
