WP Image Fixer - Optimize WordPress images
com.wpimagefixerv1.0.0Updated Oct 1, 2026
Optimize WordPress images: shrink and resize heavy images for faster pages. Any fix can be undone.
Overview
Lets an assistant inspect and optimize images on a connected self-hosted WordPress site to speed up pages.
- What it does
- WP Image Fixer is a remote MCP server for WordPress image optimization. It checks a page's images to explain why it loads slowly, then shrinks and resizes heavy images in the media library, keeping JPEG and PNG as-is or converting to WebP or AVIF on request. It can also help images appear in image search, and any optimization can be undone.
- When to use it
- Use it when a self-hosted WordPress site has slow pages and you want an assistant to diagnose image weight and apply optimizations. It suits site owners who want previews before changes and want to keep originals on their own site.
- Requirements
- A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install or package. Authentication is OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration and PKCE, so no API key is pasted. A self-hosted WordPress site is connected through a one-time approval link in wp-admin; no plugin is required. Network access to the endpoint is needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open WP Image Fixer - Optimize WordPress images in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

WP Image Fixer: WordPress image optimization MCP server
Optimize WordPress images. Make slow WordPress pages load faster: shrink and resize heavy images, keeping JPEG and PNG as they are or converting to WebP when you ask. Any optimization can be undone.
Ask why a page is slow and WP Image Fixer checks that page's images; ask it to fix them and it works on the images already in your media library, with AVIF as well as WebP, keeping every original. It can also help your images show up in image search.
Connect your self-hosted WordPress site with a one-time approval link in your wp-admin: no password is shared and no plugin is required.
WP Image Fixer is a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for WordPress. Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.0: keyless, no API key to paste.
