Sync Socials
io.github.DamianoTobascoPublished by GitHub account DamianoTobascov1.0.1Updated Oct 24, 2026
Create, schedule and publish social posts, including X on paid Growth, through Sync Socials.
The publisher's own server: Socials Homes
Overview
Hosted MCP server that lets an AI assistant draft, schedule and publish social media posts across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, chat platforms
- What you can do
- Read workspace settings, plan limits, publishing capabilities and X eligibility, and list connected social accounts and brand profiles. Browse the media library and upload media from an HTTPS URL or allowed server-local paths. Generate content concepts and assemble short videos from footage, text and music. Create, read, list, update and delete drafts, scheduled and published posts with platform targets. Publish an existing draft immediately or cancel a scheduled post.
- When to use it
- Use it when you want an assistant to plan, queue and publish social content across several platforms from one workspace, for example scheduling a week of posts or moving a scheduled post to another day. It suits teams already using Sync Socials with an eligible plan.
- Requirements
- A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing runs locally. A Sync Socials workspace API key sent as an Authorization bearer token, created in workspace settings. An eligible paid plan with API access is required (a free 7-day trial exists). Social accounts must be connected through each platform's OAuth login; X needs paid Growth.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Sync Socials in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.DamianoTobasco%2Fsync-socials-agent/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Sync Socials Agent
Let your AI agent run your social media. Sync Socials is a hosted MCP server for compatible AI agents, including Claude Code, OpenClaw and Codex. It provides tools to generate content, import media, create drafts, schedule posts and publish to supported social platforms.
Website · For AI agents · App · Partner program
For ChatGPT, follow the published app setup guide. For Claude Chat and Cowork, follow the plugin setup guide or read the plugin documentation. These connections use account authorization. The API-key setup below is for compatible agent clients.
Additional client packages:
- Cursor and Grok Bot: publisher application submitted October 8, 2026; review pending.
- Grok Build: source plugin and setup; official marketplace submission awaiting review.
- Gemini CLI: installable extension with a sensitive API-key setting. This is separate from the consumer Gemini app catalog.
See distribution status and routes for verified listing states, validation limits, and remaining submission steps.
The Muse connector is in review, not yet publicly available. See the Muse reviewer guide for authentication, tool effects, limits and validation steps.
Install
The skill uses the open Agent Skills format. Your client must also support the remote MCP connection below to call Sync Socials tools.
Connect the MCP server
The server is remote, so there is nothing to run locally.
Your client needs remote Streamable HTTP and the authentication method below. Directory availability and successful sign-in are separate from protocol support; not every agent or client version has been tested. Installing the skill does not connect a Sync Socials workspace or social account automatically.
Create or use your workspace API key in settings at app.sync-socials.com. An eligible plan with API access is required; a free 7 day trial is available. Growth supports one active key. Replacing or revoking it also affects other clients using that key. The key grants workspace read/write access, including publishing, and has no automatic expiry.
For OpenClaw compatible CLIs:
Create your first draft
After connecting, ask your agent:
Read my Sync Socials workspace, then create an untargeted draft titled "Getting started" with the caption "Our first post is coming soon." Return its draft ID so I can open it in Sync Socials.
This uses syncsocials_get_workspace and syncsocials_create_content_draft.
It needs no social account or AI-generation provider. Open the saved draft,
edit it for your business, then connect a destination in the app when you are
ready to schedule or publish.
Tools
Example prompts
Once connected, talk to your agent normally:
- Post this Reel to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts at 6pm.
- Queue five posts from the drafts folder across this week at 9am.
- Generate a month of content from sync-socials.com and schedule the best twelve.
- What is scheduled for the rest of the week? Move Friday's post to Saturday morning.
Platforms
X is available through the same MCP endpoint and post tools. Read xUsage and
postingCapabilities from syncsocials_get_workspace, then the selected
account's capabilities from syncsocials_list_connections. Trials and unpaid
review access exclude X. The default workspace allowance is 50 X attempts per
month, 10 per day, including 3 link-post attempts per month; each stable X account
also has 30 monthly and 3 daily attempts shared across workspaces. Reserved
failures count, and media can exhaust the included usage budget sooner. Check
the returned usage and UTC reset times before planning a batch.
X captions allow 280 weighted characters including overrides and hashtags. Posts support up to four photos or one MP4 video up to 140 seconds and 50 MiB after processing. GIFs, threads, and DMs are unsupported. Never automatically retry an ambiguous publish result; inspect the saved post and actual destination first. See the agent workflow.
New and existing customers can connect Facebook Pages and linked Instagram professional accounts after Meta approval. Each customer must grant publishing access and select the intended accounts in Sync Socials Connections.
Safety
- The skill defaults to creating drafts. It only schedules or publishes when you clearly ask.
- Access is scoped to an API key you generate and can revoke at any time.
- Social accounts connect through each platform's official OAuth login. Sync Socials never sees your passwords.
- Never commit your API key. Store it in your agent's MCP config or secret storage.
Content generation also depends on available tools and providers. Generation performed by your agent uses that runtime's capabilities; hosted Sync Socials concept generation needs a configured workspace AI provider and uses its allowance. Video assembly combines existing footage, text and music. Do not assume an agent subscription includes every hosted generation feature.
Partners
If you make tutorials or help clients connect their agents, the Sync Socials partner program offers 30% recurring commission on eligible subscription revenue, subject to its terms. Use an issued partner link and disclose the commercial relationship. A listing, installation or ordinary campaign URL does not automatically earn commission.
REST fallback
If MCP is unavailable, the same operations are available over REST at https://app.sync-socials.com/api/v1 using the same bearer token:
The same plan access, rate limits and usage limits apply to both MCP and REST.
