Overview

AI-generated overview

Reviews a completed AI-generated video against its brief and recommends whether to edit, retry once, or change approach before paying for another render.

What you can do
  • Review a finished render: compare a fal result URL or local intake clip with the brief and prior attempts, returning timestamped evidence.
  • Decide next steps: turn per-requirement observations and past attempts into keep, edit first, propose one retry, change approach, or review.
  • Hand frames back to the calling agent for interpretation, since the hosted endpoint runs no vision model of its own.
When to use it
Useful when a paid video generation missed its brief, keeps repeating the same defect, or the user asks whether to rerender. It is meant to sit in an agent workflow as a pre-retry check so spending is held until the evidence is clear.
Requirements
Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint, free and rate limited; the host sleeps after inactivity so the first request may take about a minute. A vision-capable model or a human reviewer must interpret the returned frames. Running the local preview needs Node.js 22 or later plus FFmpeg with ffprobe.
Before you install
It never starts a render or authorizes spending, so approval to pay for another take must come from the user. A fal result URL is fetched from supported fal media hosts and sampled, and the temporary clip is deleted. The README mentions an optional paid endpoint and credit checkout, and hosted provider integrations are documented but not live-verified.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open VOOPA Render Check in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.Voopa-Corp%2Frender-check/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

VOOPA Render Check

Your video is a signal. Render Check is a Signal Labs tool that an agent can call after a generated video misses its brief and before anyone pays for another take. It returns timestamped evidence and recommends whether to edit the take, try one specific change, switch approach, or review the evidence again.

This developer preview runs locally. It uses the calling host’s visual review or its reviewer’s observations. The local preview can read an existing fal video result. The hosted World Engine review is in development.

Connect to the hosted preview

Use https://voopa-render-check.onrender.com/mcp as a Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint. The preview is free and rate limited. The hosting service sleeps after inactivity, so the first request may take about a minute. The hosted service accepts a completed fal result URL and returns frames to the calling agent, which supplies observations to the retry tool. The calling agent interprets the frames. The hosted endpoint does not run an independent vision model.

Use Render Check with fal

Connect the server and add the pre-retry instruction to your agent workflow. The guide includes the free endpoint, the optional paid endpoint, and the credit checkout.

Run the preview

Requirements are Node.js 22 or later and FFmpeg with ffprobe. Run:

sh
npm cinpm testnpm run mcp:http

The test generates its own one-second clip. The server listens at http://127.0.0.1:50951/mcp and accepts only local connections. For a process-based MCP host, launch node /absolute/path/to/mcp.mjs instead.

Pass a direct HTTPS video URL from an existing fal result as falVideoUrl, or pass the filename of an authorized local clip in the intake folder as file. A fal result is fetched from the supported fal media hosts, sampled, and the temporary clip is removed. This uses no generation credits.

Connect a workflow

QwenQwen-Agent supports Streamable HTTP MCP. Connect through the agent runtime. Qwen-Agent releases
Other modelsAn MCP-capable agent host can list and invoke the tools. A host that exposes model function calling can bridge those calls to MCP. Image review needs a vision-capable model or reviewer.

The test verifies the MCP protocol with an independent client. The hosted provider integrations above are documented routes and still need live verification.

Tell the agent when to use it

When a paid video take misses the brief, use VOOPA Render Check before proposing another generation. Reuse the existing clip, prompt, and attempt history. Show the timestamp and one actionable recommendation in chat. Hold spending if the evidence is unclear.

Start with review_completed_render. Give it the clip or the video.url from the fal result, the must-haves, and prior attempts. A compatible process-based host can use model sampling. Over the local HTTP preview the host receives frames and calls decide_render_retry with its observations. Text-only hosts can use trusted observations supplied by a reviewer or separate vision component.

What this preview proves

The same tool interface works over local process and Streamable HTTP connections. The included smoke test exercises an inspect-and-decide flow without credentials or generation costs. The policy and evidence can be tested independently of a specific model. Nothing in the tool starts a render or authorizes spending.

review_completed_render

Review a generated video before paying to rerender

Use when a generated video missed its brief, keeps repeating a defect, or the user asks whether to rerender. Compare an existing fal result URL or a local intake clip with the brief and previous attempts. Returns timestamped evidence and whether to edit, try one targeted change, switch approach, or pause for review. Uses host vision when supported.

decide_render_retry

Decide what to do before another render

Use after inspecting a completed render. Supply one observation per requirement, past attempts in chronological order, and candidate fixes grounded in available assets or a specific untried change. Returns keep, edit first, propose one retry, change approach, or review. This tool never authorizes spend.
