Remote MCP server that lets an assistant fetch public HTML, Markdown, text or JSON documents from an approved list of official hosts, with provenance.
What you can do
Read official HTML, Markdown and plain-text documents from allowlisted hosts, returning static text, anchor URLs, final URL, retrieval time and a raw response SHA256.
Read official JSON documents from allowlisted hosts, returning the original decoded JSON text with numeric lexemes preserved, plus final URL, retrieval time and hash.
No JavaScript rendering, search, research conclusions, login or paywall bypass, and no inferred business data.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to quote or verify content from specific official sources and you want verifiable provenance (final URL, timestamp, hash) rather than a general web crawler. Suited to bounded, low-volume lookups on known hosts.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package, environment variables or headers declared and no authentication declared. Only hosts on the server's explicit allowlist can be read, and requests are rate limited to 10 calls per minute and 100 per day.
Before you install
Fetched sources are treated as untrusted evidence, not an objective verdict, so results should be checked. Reads are anonymous and limited to allowlisted hosts; no credentials are sent and no paywall or login bypass is offered. Usage is capped at 10 calls per minute and 100 per day.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.darwin-studios%2Fowned-research-mcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
