Overview

AI-generated overview

Pay-per-call x402 API server for web reading, company due diligence, official registries, and EVM on-chain lookups, billed in USDC on Base.

What you can do
  • Read public pages and documents: clean Markdown, links, batch reads, PDF/DOCX/HTML conversion, and hourly change monitors with webhook alerts
  • Research companies and domains: website profiles, DNS/TLS/email checks, UK Companies House, UK charities, US SEC EDGAR, EU VAT, LEI, and AU/CA registries
  • Screen and verify: KYB-style bundles, sanctions and batch registry checks, plus UK property prices and postcode area profiles
  • Query EVM chains (Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon): balances, transactions, tokens, allowances, contracts, gas, blocks, NFTs, and ENS
  • Search open scholarly sources (Wikipedia, OpenAlex, arXiv, Crossref) and fetch ECB FX rates
When to use it
Useful when an agent needs sourced web or registry data without managing API keys, and the operator is willing to pay small per-call USDC fees. Best for due diligence, KYB-style screening, RAG document ingestion, and quick on-chain lookups.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no accounts or API keys. Each paid call requires an x402 payment in USDC on Base mainnet, so a funded EVM wallet and a client that can sign payments (for example a private key supplied to the stdio package) are needed. Network access to the hosted API.
Before you install
Every tool call costs real USDC, from fractions of a cent up to several dollars per call, and monitors or lead feeds bill per 30 days. Payment clients need a wallet private key, which should be scoped and capped per call. Monitors and watch tools send webhook alerts to a URL you supply. Outputs are screening data, not financial or legal advice.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Axiom Works AgentReader in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.grokbot1233%2Fagentreader/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

Glama / local stdio MCP

For Glama “Runs from source” checks and local clients that prefer stdio, this repo includes a minimal Node MCP server that answers initialize and tools/list with no secrets, and proxies paid tool calls to the live API (unpaid calls return x402 payment-required JSON).

bash
# Without Dockernode glama-mcp/index.js
# With Dockerdocker build -t agentreader-mcp .docker run -i --rm agentreader-mcp

glama.json claims maintainers for the Glama listing. The hosted streamable-HTTP MCP remains https://api.axiomworks.co.uk/mcp.

Integrations

Copy-paste clients in examples/: MCP (Claude Desktop / Cursor), @x402/fetch, x402-axios, Python x402, LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI.
