JobSlop is a remote MCP server that lets an assistant search tracked US job listings and check postings for ghost-job warning signs.
What you can do
Check index size and freshness, and see what the public index covers. Search tracked US job listings by keyword, company, status, location and posting age, with paged summaries. Read one listing's full detail: dates, sightings over the last 30 days, reposts, ghost-job flag with a plain-language reason, and description. Look up a shared job URL to see whether it is tracked and whether it is flagged as a ghost job. Review an employer's report of active, inactive and ghost-flagged listings, and list companies with counts, filtered by name or sorted by size or ghost-flagged share.
When to use it
Useful when evaluating a job posting or a shared job link and wanting evidence of ghost-job warning signs, or when comparing employers by how many of their listings are flagged or long open.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at jobslop.io over streamable HTTP; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. Network access is needed.
Before you install
The index covers US job listings only, and ghost-job flags are the service's own assessments rather than verified facts. No authentication is declared, so treat results as public third-party data.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.jobslop%2Fjobslop/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
