Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server for AgencyBloc that lets an assistant search and update insurance agency records: individuals, groups, policies, agents, carriers, leads…

What you can do
  • Search and read individuals, groups, agents and carriers, including addresses, policies and custom fields
  • Search and read policies with holder, carrier, status, dates, premium and coverages
  • List activities and notes on a record, and fetch activities by id
  • Find Sales Enablement leads by phone and read a lead by id
  • Create and update individuals, groups and policies
  • Log activities and add notes to a record
When to use it
Useful for insurance agencies already on AgencyBloc that want an assistant to look up clients, policies and carriers, answer questions about recent submissions or renewals, and record updates, activities and notes without switching apps.
Requirements
Remote endpoint reached over streamable HTTP; no local install. Sign-in is via OAuth, and on first connect you paste an AgencyBloc API SID and API key obtained from AgencyBloc support, with the API add-on active on the account. The Sales Enablement module is needed for lead tools. Free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
Eight tools write to AgencyBloc: creating and updating individuals, groups and policies, logging activities and adding notes. Notes can never be edited or deleted through the API, so they are permanent, and creating records does not check for duplicates. The AgencyBloc API SID and API key are entered at sign-in. Paid plans (Pro, Pro+) are billed through a payment link, and cancelling gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AgencyBloc MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fagencybloc/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://agencybloc.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http agencybloc https://agencybloc.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your AgencyBloc credentials.

On first connect you'll paste your AgencyBloc API SID and API key (from AgencyBloc support; the API add-on must be active).
