Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted CraftMyPDF server that lets an assistant generate PDFs and images from templates, merge PDFs, and inspect templates, versions, usage and billing.

What you can do
  • List templates, read one template's expected JSON placeholders and list saved template versions
  • Generate a PDF or an image from a template and JSON data, or one combined PDF from 2-10 templates
  • Merge 2-10 existing PDFs given as public https URLs into one file
  • Read metadata of a PDF fetched from a public https URL
  • Check account info, quota, template usage statistics and recent billing transactions
  • Report usage, request a missing feature, upgrade or cancel the subscription
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to turn structured data into branded PDFs or images from existing CraftMyPDF templates, combine or merge documents, or check how much quota and billing a template workflow consumes.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Connect with only the server URL and sign in through OAuth with your own CraftMyPDF credentials; do not add an Authorization header or API key to the client config. A CraftMyPDF account with templates is needed, and the free tier allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
Generation and merge tools are write operations that spend the CraftMyPDF account's own credits, typically one credit per document, and every call is billed even with identical data. Returned file URLs are hosted and expire. The server also offers subscription upgrade and cancellation tools that lead to Stripe payment links, and a feature-request tool that sends text to the provider. Confirm before any write or billing action.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open CraftMyPDF MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fcraftmypdf/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

CraftMyPDF MCP by usefulapi

Use CraftMyPDF from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — templates, versions, usage and transactions, plus PDF and image generation and PDF merges. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own CraftMyPDF credentials.

Live endpoint: https://craftmypdf.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/craftmypdf

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://craftmypdf.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http craftmypdf https://craftmypdf.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "craftmypdf": {      "url": "https://craftmypdf.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your CraftMyPDF credentials.
