Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted Cronofy MCP server that lets an assistant read calendars, events and free/busy, and create, update or delete events on connected calendars.

What you can do
  • Read account and user profile details
  • List connected calendar profiles and calendars
  • Read events and free/busy across calendars over a time window
  • Create or update an event on a real connected calendar
  • Delete an event from a connected calendar
  • Check monthly usage, request a feature, or manage the subscription
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to answer scheduling questions such as what meetings are coming up or when you are free, and to add or remove events on your real calendars without leaving the chat.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint at cronofy.usefulapi.io; no local install. Connect with the URL only and sign in through the server's OAuth login page, pasting your Cronofy access token on first connect. A Cronofy account with connected calendar profiles is needed.
Before you install
Upsert and delete tools write to and remove events from your real calendars, so confirm before running them. The server stores your Cronofy access token per user. Usage is metered: the free plan allows 50 tool calls a month, and paid plans are billed through Stripe Checkout links returned by the upgrade tool, with no refund for the current period on cancellation.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Cronofy MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fcronofy/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Cronofy MCP by usefulapi

Read your calendars, events and free/busy, and create or delete events, from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Hosted, no local install — connect with your Cronofy access token.

Live endpoint: https://cronofy.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/cronofy

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://cronofy.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http cronofy https://cronofy.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "cronofy": {      "url": "https://cronofy.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Cronofy credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/cronofy/

On first connect you'll paste your Cronofy access token. It's validated, stored per-user, and scoped to you.
