Overview

AI-generated overview

Connects an assistant to a Desk365 helpdesk to read tickets, conversations, contacts, companies, time entries and knowledge base articles, and to change…

What you can do
  • List and search tickets, and read one ticket's full details
  • Read a ticket's conversation: replies, notes and forwarded messages
  • List and look up contacts and companies
  • List logged time entries and read a single entry
  • List customer satisfaction survey ratings
  • List knowledge base article titles and read a live article's content
When to use it
Useful when support agents or helpdesk admins want an assistant to triage open or urgent tickets, summarise a ticket's conversation, look up a customer or company, check logged time or CSAT ratings, or pull answers from the knowledge base without leaving the chat.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint added by URL only; no API key or Authorization header in the client config. Sign-in is via OAuth, and the login page asks for Desk365 credentials. The helpdesk must have API access enabled. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month; paid plans raise the limit.
Before you install
The server is a paid third-party proxy: free tier is 50 calls a month, and upgrade tools return Stripe Checkout payment links, so a subscription can be started from the chat. The status tool writes to Desk365 and may trigger status automations and notifications, so confirm before use. Your Desk365 credentials are entered on the provider's login page, and helpdesk data passes through the provider.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Desk365 MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fdesk365/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://desk365.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http desk365 https://desk365.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "desk365": {      "url": "https://desk365.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Desk365 credentials.
