Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only access to Elation Health EHR data — patients, appointments, problems, allergies, medications, notes and vitals — via a hosted endpoint.

What you can do
  • Search and read patient charts, demographics, insurance and emergency contacts
  • List appointments, appointment types, practices and physicians
  • Read a patient's problem list, allergies, medications and vitals
  • List and read visit notes and non-visit chart notes
  • Check monthly usage, request a missing feature, and manage or cancel a paid plan
When to use it
Useful for clinicians or practice staff who want an assistant to look up schedules, chart summaries, medication lists or visit notes in Elation Health without opening the EHR. It is read-only, so it suits review and question answering rather than charting.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint added by URL only; no local install. Sign-in is via OAuth with your own Elation Health credentials, so no API key or Authorization header goes in the client config. A free tier allows 50 tool calls per month; paid plans raise the limit.
Before you install
The README explicitly says not to use this server with protected health information and that no HIPAA BAA is signed, yet the tools return PHI such as patient demographics, notes and vitals — a serious compliance concern. Patient data passes through a third-party host. Paid plans involve Stripe Checkout payments, and the upgrade and cancel tools change your subscription.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Elation Health MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Felation-health/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://elation-health.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http elation-health https://elation-health.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
