Exoscale MCP by usefulapi

Inspect Exoscale: instances, volumes, SKS, DNS, IPs, quotas and usage; start, stop, reboot VMs.
Overview
Lets an assistant inspect Exoscale cloud resources — instances, volumes, SKS, DNS, IPs, quotas — and start, stop, or reboot VMs.
- What it does
- A hosted remote MCP server for the Exoscale cloud platform. Read tools list and get zones, organization, quotas, usage reports, compute instances, instance types, templates, security groups, elastic IPs, block storage volumes, SKS clusters, and DNS domains and records. Write tools start, stop, and reboot compute instances. Meta tools report free-tier usage, request a feature, and manage a Pro subscription.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to answer questions about an Exoscale account or perform simple VM lifecycle actions without opening the Exoscale console. Suited to routine inspection and start/stop/reboot operations rather than full infrastructure provisioning.
- Requirements
- A remote endpoint; nothing to install locally. Connect the client to the hosted MCP URL and sign in through the server's OAuth login page with your own Exoscale credentials. The README says to add only the URL and not to put an Authorization header or API key in the client config.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Exoscale MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

Use Exoscale from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — instances, templates, security groups, IPs, volumes, SKS clusters, DNS, quotas and usage. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own Exoscale credentials.
Live endpoint: https://exoscale.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/exoscale
Connect
- Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste
https://exoscale.usefulapi.io/mcp. - Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http exoscale https://exoscale.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run/mcpto log in. - VS Code: Add to VS Code.
- Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
