Overview

AI-generated overview

Connects an assistant to a Farmbrite farm account to read livestock, crops, inventory, orders and tasks, and to log records and tasks.

What you can do
  • Browse and read livestock: animals, groups, measurements, feedings, grazing summaries and treatments
  • Browse crops and land: plant types, crop plantings, fields/plots, harvests and notes
  • Read inventory: item types, quantities, storage locations and warehouses
  • Read business records: contacts, sales orders, income and expense transactions
  • Read tasks and calendar activities
  • Write records: create or update contacts, tasks, animals, orders and transactions; add notes, inventory movements, measurements, feedings, harvests and treatments
When to use it
Useful when you keep farm records in Farmbrite and want an assistant to answer questions about herd health, feed stock, crops, orders or open tasks, or to log routine records and tasks without opening the app.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint; no local package. Connect with the server URL only and sign in through OAuth with Farmbrite credentials; the login page asks for a Farmbrite API key, and API access must be enabled on the Farmbrite profile. A plan limits monthly tool calls.
Before you install
Many tools write to Farmbrite data and are not idempotent, so repeating a call duplicates contacts, tasks, animals, transactions or inventory movements; inventory removal cannot be undone except by adding stock back, and notes cannot be deleted. Creating or updating orders may email customers or generate invoices depending on account settings, and task creation may notify assignees. The free tier allows 50 calls a month; paid plans are billed through a checkout link, with no refund for the…

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Farmbrite MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Ffarmbrite/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://farmbrite.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http farmbrite https://farmbrite.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "farmbrite": {      "url": "https://farmbrite.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Farmbrite credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/farmbrite/

On first connect you'll paste your Farmbrite API key (your Farmbrite user profile; API access must be enabled).
