Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted read-only MCP access to a Galaxy Digital volunteer site: needs, sign-ups, logged hours, agencies, teams and users.

What you can do
  • List and fetch volunteer needs, events, agencies, teams, qualifications and benchmarks
  • List and fetch volunteer responses (sign-ups) and logged hours, including per-need responses and questions
  • List and fetch site users, agency managers, users holding a qualification or benchmark, and agencies a user follows
  • List reference data: causes, interests, impact areas, clusters and registration questions
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a missing feature, upgrade or cancel a subscription
When to use it
Useful when you manage or report on a Galaxy Digital volunteer program and want an assistant to answer questions such as which needs are still open, who signed up for a shift, or how many hours were logged and approved this month.
Requirements
Remote hosted endpoint; no local install. Sign-in is via OAuth, and on first connect you supply your Galaxy Digital Site API key (issued by Galaxy Digital support), the API user email and password, and the site region (US 1, US 2 or Canada). No keys go in the client config.
Before you install
The server stores your site API key and API user credentials per user after validating them. User tools return personal data (names, emails), so request only what the task needs. Free plan is limited to 50 tool calls a month; paid Pro and Pro+ plans cost money and are billed through a Stripe checkout link, with no refund for the current period on cancellation. Meta tools can send a feature request.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Galaxy Digital MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fgalaxy-digital/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Galaxy Digital MCP by usefulapi

Use your Galaxy Digital account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. It can read volunteer needs, sign-ups, logged hours, users, agencies, teams, qualifications and events. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://galaxy-digital.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://galaxy-digital.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http galaxy-digital https://galaxy-digital.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "galaxy-digital": {      "url": "https://galaxy-digital.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Galaxy Digital credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/galaxy-digital/

On first connect you provide your Site API key, the API user email and password, and the region of your site (US 1, US 2 or Canada). Galaxy Digital support issues the site key. The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
