Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server for Gladly customer support: look up customers, conversations, timeline items and tasks, and add internal notes.

What you can do
  • Look up customer profiles by email, phone or external ID, and read their details
  • List a customer's conversations and tasks, and read single conversations, timeline items and tasks
  • List organization, agent, inbox, topic and audience reference data
  • Add an internal note to a conversation (the only write tool)
  • Check usage, request a feature, upgrade or cancel a paid plan
When to use it
Useful for support and success teams who want an assistant to pull a customer's history, conversation timelines and open tasks from Gladly, or to leave an internal note, without switching tools.
Requirements
Remote endpoint over streamable HTTP; no local install. Connect with the server URL only and sign in via OAuth. On first connect you supply your Gladly organization, an agent email and a Gladly API token, which the server stores per user. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
The server holds your Gladly organization, agent email and API token, so it can read customer personal data (names, emails, phones, addresses) and conversation contents. gladly_add_conversation_note writes to Gladly and each call creates a new note, so repeats are not idempotent. Paid plans cost money via a Stripe checkout link, and cancelling gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Gladly MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fgladly/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Gladly MCP by usefulapi

Use your Gladly account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Find customers, read conversations, items and tasks, and add internal notes. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://gladly.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://gladly.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http gladly https://gladly.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "gladly": {      "url": "https://gladly.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Gladly credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/gladly/

On first connect you provide your Gladly organization, an agent email and an API token (Gladly → Settings → API). The server validates them and stores them per user. No keys go in config files.
