Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server for IDX Broker accounts: read leads, agents, listings and MLS data, and create or update leads and notes.

What you can do
  • List and inspect leads, with their notes, saved searches, saved properties and website traffic history
  • Create leads, update lead fields and add notes to a lead
  • List agents and offices on the account, and read account info and plan type
  • List the account's featured, sold/pending, off-market and supplemental listings, saved links, widgets and system links
  • Look up approved MLSs, MLS data age, property types, searchable fields and cities, counties or postal codes
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a feature, and manage or cancel the paid subscription
When to use it
Useful for real-estate agents and teams running an IDX Broker site who want an assistant to answer questions about leads, what they viewed and searched, and the account's listings, or to add and update lead records and notes from a chat client.
Requirements
Remote endpoint only, no local install. Connect the server URL as a remote MCP server; the server signs in with OAuth and the login page asks for IDX Broker credentials. Do not add an Authorization header or API key to the client config. A paid plan is needed beyond the free monthly call allowance.
Before you install
Three tools write to the IDX Broker account: creating a lead, updating lead fields (values replace stored ones) and adding notes visible to the account's agents; creating a lead may trigger the account's own lead notifications. Lead records include contact details and visitor IP addresses. The server is a third-party host that proxies your IDX Broker account. Subscription tools can start a paid Stripe checkout or cancel Pro; cancellation has no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open IDX Broker MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fidx-broker/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

IDX Broker MCP by usefulapi

Use IDX Broker from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — look up leads and what they viewed, searched and saved, agents and offices, your account's own featured, sold, off-market and supplemental listings, saved links, widgets and MLS metadata, and create or update leads and add lead notes (each write needs an explicit confirmation). Hosted, no local install: connect with an IDX Broker access key.

Live endpoint: https://idx-broker.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/idx-broker

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://idx-broker.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http idx-broker https://idx-broker.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "idx-broker": {      "url": "https://idx-broker.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your IDX Broker credentials.
