Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant read users, groups, departments, courses and enrollments from an iSpring Learn account.

What you can do
  • List and inspect users, profile fields and roles, with filters by department, group, login, email or id
  • Browse the organization structure: groups and departments, including single-record lookups
  • List content items (courses, trainings, learning tracks), fetch one item, its final statuses and a course's modules
  • List and inspect enrollments with status, progress and due dates, filtered by course, learner or enrollment id
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a missing feature, and manage or cancel the subscription
When to use it
Useful when you want to ask questions about an iSpring Learn account in natural language, such as which learners are overdue on a course, who belongs to a department or group, or how far a specific learner has progressed. It is read-only, so it suits reporting and lookup rather than editing training data.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint added by URL only; no local install. Sign-in is via OAuth, and on first connect you supply an iSpring Learn Client ID, Client Secret and data center (from the account's API keys settings), which the server stores per user. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month; paid plans are available.
Before you install
You hand your iSpring Learn API Client ID and Client Secret to a third-party hosted service, which stores them per user. Usage is metered: the free tier is 50 calls per month, and paid plans are billed through a checkout link, with no refund for the current period on cancellation. The meta tools can start or cancel a paid subscription, so confirm before letting an assistant run them.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open iSpring Learn MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fispring-learn/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

iSpring Learn MCP by usefulapi

Use your iSpring Learn account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read users, groups, departments, roles, content items, course modules and enrollments. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://ispring-learn.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://ispring-learn.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http ispring-learn https://ispring-learn.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "ispring-learn": {      "url": "https://ispring-learn.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your iSpring Learn credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/ispring-learn/

On first connect you provide a Client ID and a Client Secret, and your data center (iSpring Learn → Settings → Additional options → API keys). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
