Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server for Loops: look up, create, update and delete contacts, list mailing lists and properties, and send events or transactional emails.

What you can do
  • Verify the API key and check the team it belongs to
  • Find contacts by email or userId, and list mailing lists and custom contact properties
  • Create, update (upsert) or delete contacts, and create custom contact properties
  • Send events that trigger Loops automations, and send real transactional emails from a template
  • Check monthly usage, request a feature, and manage the Pro subscription
When to use it
Useful when an assistant should work with a Loops email-marketing account: answering questions about contacts and lists, keeping contact records current, or triggering Loops automations and transactional emails from a conversation.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Connect with the URL only and sign in via OAuth, pasting a Loops API key on first connect, which is validated and stored per user. A Loops account is required; the free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
Write tools change real data: contacts can be created, upserted or deleted, and properties added. Sending an event triggers any automations subscribed to it, and the transactional tool dispatches an actual email to the recipient. The server also exposes paid plans with Stripe Checkout links and a cancel tool, so an assistant could start a subscription; confirm before any write, send or billing action. Your Loops API key is stored by the third-party host.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Loops MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Floops/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Loops MCP by usefulapi

Manage Loops contacts, mailing lists, and transactional & event emails from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Hosted, no local install — connect with your Loops API key.

Live endpoint: https://loops.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/loops

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://loops.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http loops https://loops.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "loops": {      "url": "https://loops.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Loops credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/loops/

On first connect you'll paste your Loops API key. It's validated, stored per-user, and scoped to you.
