Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for Mail Blaze: manage mailing lists, subscribers, templates and campaigns, read reports, and send email.

What you can do
  • List and inspect mailing lists, their fields, segments and subscribers, and look up a subscriber by email
  • Add, bulk-add, update, unsubscribe and resubscribe subscribers
  • List, read and create HTML email templates
  • List and inspect campaigns, create and schedule a campaign from a template
  • Read campaign reports: summaries, inbox-provider breakdown, opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes, plus per-subscriber activity and async report jobs
  • List and send transactional emails, and check usage or manage the subscription plan
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to work with an existing Mail Blaze account: answering questions about lists and campaign performance, maintaining subscriber records, or preparing and scheduling campaigns and one-off emails.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at added by URL only; sign-in is via OAuth and the login page asks for a Mail Blaze API public key, which is stored per user. No API key or Authorization header goes in the client config. A Mail Blaze account is required.
Before you install
The Mail Blaze API public key has full access to the account. Write tools change data: adding subscribers may trigger confirmation emails, unsubscribing also blacklists the address by default, and creating a campaign or sending a transactional email sends real email, uses sending credit and cannot be recalled. Subscriber data includes personal emails and names. Free plan is limited to 50 tool calls a month; paid plans are billed through a payment link.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Mail Blaze MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fmailblaze/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Mail Blaze MCP by usefulapi

Manage Mail Blaze lists, subscribers, templates, campaigns and reports; send transactional email.

Live endpoint: https://mailblaze.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/mailblaze

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://mailblaze.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http mailblaze https://mailblaze.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "mailblaze": {      "url": "https://mailblaze.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Mail Blaze credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/mailblaze/

On first connect you'll paste a Mail Blaze API public key (Mail Blaze → Profile menu → API Keys: create a key and copy the Public key). The key has full access to your account; you can revoke it there at any time. Your credentials are validated, stored per-user, and scoped to you — no keys in config files.

WRITE, MAY SEND A CONFIRMATION EMAIL: add one subscriber to a mailing list. Depending on the list's settings Mail Blaze may send the person a confirmation (double opt-in) email. Only add people who agreed to receive your email. An email that is already on the list answers with a conflict error.

Parametersemailrequiredlist_uidrequiredlast_namefirst_namecustom_fields

mailblaze_add_subscribers_bulk

WRITE, MAY SEND CONFIRMATION EMAILS: add up to 100 subscribers to a mailing list in one request; an email already on the list is updated instead. Depending on the list's settings Mail Blaze may send confirmation emails. Only add people who agreed to receive your email.

Parametersemailrequiredlist_uidrequiredlast_namefirst_namecustom_fieldssubscriber_uidrequired

mailblaze_unsubscribe_subscriber

Unsubscribe a subscriber

WRITE: set a subscriber's status to unsubscribed so they receive no more campaigns from this list. By default Mail Blaze also adds the address to the account's local blacklist. Do this only when the person asked to stop (or a data-protection request requires it). The subscriber record is kept.

Parameterslist_uidrequiredsubscriber_uidrequired

WRITE, SENDS EMAIL TO PEOPLE: create a campaign for a mailing list (or one of its segments) from an existing template and schedule it for send_at. Once it goes out it reaches every subscriber of the list or segment, may use sending credit and cannot be recalled. Confirm the list, segment, subject, template and send time with the user before calling. Needs a template uid (mailblaze_list_templates) and a list uid (mailblaze_list_lists).

Parametersemail_uidrequired

mailblaze_send_transactional_email

Send a transactional email

WRITE, SENDS ONE EMAIL NOW: send a single one-to-one email to one recipient through Mail Blaze. It leaves immediately, uses sending credit and cannot be recalled. Give either html (the body) or template_id (a transactional template, with merge_tags covering every tag in it), not both. Confirm the recipient and content with the user before calling.
