Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant read Propertyware property-management records and add work-order tasks and comments.

What you can do
  • List and fetch buildings, units, portfolios, leases, contacts, vendors, prospects and work orders, one page at a time with next-page paging
  • Read notes on buildings and leases, and list tasks on a work order
  • Create a task on an existing work order and add a comment to a task
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a missing feature, and manage or cancel a paid subscription
When to use it
Useful when you work in Propertyware and want an assistant to answer questions about vacancies, lease end dates, high-priority work orders or contact details, or to log maintenance tasks and comments without opening the app.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint added by URL only; the server signs in with OAuth and the login page asks for Propertyware credentials. Needs the client ID, client secret and organization ID from Propertyware Administration Setup, plus Buildings read access for the login check and read/write permissions for the resources used. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
Two tools write to Propertyware: creating a work-order task and adding a task comment, which may be visible to other users and duplicates on repeat calls. Writes need Work Orders write permission. Paid plans cost $9/month or $90/year (Pro) and $39/month or $390/year (Pro+), and the upgrade tool returns a payment link; cancellation runs to the end of the paid period with no refund. Propertyware credentials are entered on the provider's login page.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Propertyware MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fpropertyware/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://propertyware.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http propertyware https://propertyware.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "propertyware": {      "url": "https://propertyware.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Propertyware credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/propertyware/

Connect with the client ID, client secret and organization ID from Administration Setup → API Keys. Enable Buildings read access for the login check and permissions for the resources you need. Task and comment creation require Work Orders write access; a read-only key disables writes.
