Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server for Recommand e-invoicing: read companies, documents and the inbox, verify Peppol recipients, and send invoices.

What you can do
  • List and get companies with verification and Peppol registration status
  • List labels and browse sent and received documents with filters for direction, dates, read status, label or failed delivery
  • Get a single document with its parsed content and delivery status, and list unread inbox documents
  • Verify a Peppol address before sending, and mark documents read or unread
  • Send a real invoice over Peppol, by email or both
  • Check usage, request a feature, upgrade or cancel the subscription
When to use it
Useful when you work with Recommand for e-invoicing and want an assistant to triage the inbox, find invoices that failed to reach the buyer, check whether a Peppol address is registered, or send invoices without leaving the chat.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at recommand.usefulapi.io/mcp; no local install. Sign-in is by OAuth, and on first connect you supply a basic Recommand API key id and secret from the Recommand dashboard (JWT keys are not accepted). No keys go in the client config. A plan is needed: free tier is 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
recommand_send_invoice sends a real invoice over Peppol or email, cannot be undone, and counts toward subscription usage; verify the buyer first and do not retry after a timeout without listing outgoing documents. Marking documents read changes inbox state. The API key secret is entered at sign-in and stored per user. Upgrade tools return Stripe Checkout payment links, and paid plans cost money.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Recommand MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Frecommand/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Recommand MCP by usefulapi

Use your Recommand account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. It reads companies, documents, the inbox and Peppol recipients, and it sends invoices by Peppol or email. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://recommand.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://recommand.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http recommand https://recommand.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "recommand": {      "url": "https://recommand.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Recommand credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/recommand/

On first connect you provide your API key id (key_…) and your API key secret (secret_…) of a basic API key from the Recommand dashboard. JWT keys are not accepted. The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.

ParameterspeppolAddressrequiredincludeBusinessCardincludeEndpointDetails

recommand_send_invoice

Send an invoice

SENDS A REAL INVOICE over the Peppol network, by email, or both. This cannot be undone, and each send counts toward the subscription usage. Check the buyer with recommand_verify_recipient first. Do NOT retry after a timeout: list the outgoing documents first, because the invoice may already be sent. If Peppol delivery fails and no email fallback applies, the call returns HTTP 422 and stores nothing. Recommand API: POST /api/v1/{companyId}/send.

recommand_mark_document_read

Mark a document as read

Mark a document as read, which removes it from the inbox. Pass read false to mark it unread again. Calling it again with the same value does no harm. Recommand API: POST /api/v1/documents/{documentId}/mark-as-read.
