Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant read ServiceMonster customers, jobs, orders, sites and schedules, and add customer notes.

What you can do
  • List and read customer accounts, sites, orders, jobs, routes, employees and service items
  • Read related records such as an account's orders, sites, notes and tasks, or an order's jobs, line items and notes
  • Read job time logs, site note activities and account profile statistics with balance information
  • Read the service schedule and detailed schedule items for a bounded date range
  • Create a note on an account, order or site
  • Check usage, request a feature, upgrade or cancel the subscription
When to use it
Useful when a ServiceMonster user wants to ask questions in plain language about customers, open balances, jobs and the upcoming service schedule, or have the assistant log a customer note without opening the app.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; add only the URL to the client, no API key or Authorization header. Sign-in uses OAuth with ServiceMonster credentials on the login page. A dedicated ServiceMonster API User is recommended, and API access requires an eligible ServiceMonster plan. Free tier allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
The create-note tool writes immediately with no preview or confirmation step, so the exact record and text should be reviewed first; a Read Only API User cannot write. Paid plans are billed through a Stripe checkout link returned by the upgrade tool, and cancelling gives no refund for the current period. The README states real-account reads and note creation have not been tested. Customer contact and billing data is sent to the hosted provider.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open ServiceMonster MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fservicemonster/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://servicemonster.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http servicemonster https://servicemonster.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "servicemonster": {      "url": "https://servicemonster.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your ServiceMonster credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/servicemonster/

Use a dedicated ServiceMonster API User, rather than a personal login. API access requires an eligible ServiceMonster plan. Real-account reads and note creation have not been tested; live invalid credentials receive the vendor's authentication rejection.
