Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant read SignRequest documents, signature requests, templates and events, and send, cancel or resend signature requests.

What you can do
  • List, search and fetch documents with signer state, signing logs and temporary download links
  • List and inspect signature requests, including each signer's viewed, signed, declined and forwarded state
  • List and fetch templates with their signer placeholders
  • List teams, team members and document events with callback delivery state
  • Send a document for signature from a template, a public URL or base64 content, cancel a request, or resend reminder e-mails
  • Check usage, request a feature, and upgrade or cancel a paid plan
When to use it
Useful when you work with SignRequest for contracts, NDAs or approvals and want to ask an assistant which documents are still awaiting signatures, who has not signed yet, or to send a template to a signer without leaving the chat.
Requirements
Remote endpoint only, no local install; connect with the MCP URL and sign in via OAuth. On first connect you supply a SignRequest team API token (SignRequest team settings, API section), which the server validates and stores per user. No API key or Authorization header goes in the client config.
Before you install
Write tools create and e-mail signature requests immediately, cancel requests irreversibly, and resend signer e-mails; confirm before running them. Your SignRequest team API token is handed to a third-party host, which stores it per user. The free tier allows 50 tool calls a month; paid plans are billed through Stripe checkout links, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SignRequest MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fsignrequest/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

SignRequest MCP by usefulapi

Use your SignRequest account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read documents, signature requests, templates, teams and events, and send, cancel or resend signature requests. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http signrequest https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "signrequest": {      "url": "https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your SignRequest credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/signrequest/

On first connect you provide a SignRequest team API token (SignRequest → Team settings → API). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
