Overview

AI-generated overview

Sends SMS through an SMS Everyone account and checks credits, campaign status, delivery receipts, replies, contact lists and opt-outs.

What you can do
  • Check account settings, remaining SMS credits and messaging options
  • Send one message to up to 25 numbers, or schedule a campaign, and cancel or pause campaigns
  • Read campaign status and per-destination delivery receipts
  • List received replies within a date window
  • List and read contact lists of stored mobile numbers
  • List opt-out numbers and add numbers to the opt-out database
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to send or schedule SMS to customers or contacts and then follow up on delivery, replies and opt-outs without opening the SMS Everyone dashboard. Also handy for quick checks of remaining credits and campaign status.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint added by URL only; the server signs in with OAuth and the login page asks for the SMS Everyone API username and password. A registered originator is needed for sending. Network access to the hosted endpoint.
Before you install
Sending sends real SMS to real people and spends SMS Everyone credits; long or Unicode messages can cost several credits, and sent messages cannot be recalled. Write tools change or delete data, so confirm before use. The free plan allows 50 tool calls a month; paid plans are billed through a checkout link. Delivery and reply polling share a cooldown of at least one minute per account.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SMS Everyone MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fsms-everyone/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect your assistant at https://sms-everyone.usefulapi.io/mcp.

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://sms-everyone.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http sms-everyone https://sms-everyone.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "sms-everyone": {      "url": "https://sms-everyone.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your SMS Everyone credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/sms-everyone/

Enter the API username and password SMS Everyone issued for your account. Use your registered originator when sending messages. If you need API credentials, request them from SMS Everyone through its normal account signup or support process.

Writes require explicit confirmation. Sending or scheduling messages uses your SMS Everyone credits; long or Unicode messages can cost multiple credits. This connector limits each send to 25 explicit recipients.

Delivery and reply polling have a shared cooldown of at least one minute per account and endpoint across hosted connections. The vendor recommends polling every five minutes. Reply reads always use a date window, preserving unread status.

A send acknowledgement means the vendor accepted the request; delivery receipts report delivery separately. If a write outcome is uncertain, check the SMS Everyone dashboard before trying again.

smseveryone_get_account

Get account settings and credits

Show the SMS Everyone account: user id, remaining SMS credits, whether unicode (emoji, non-English text) is enabled and whether international messaging is allowed. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/RetrieveUserSettings.

Takes no parameters.

smseveryone_get_campaign_status

Get campaign status

Show whether a sent or scheduled campaign is Scheduled, Running, Paused or Deleted. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/campaign with Action status.

Parameterscampaign_idrequired

smseveryone_get_delivery_status

Get delivery status

Delivery receipts of a campaign: one entry per destination with a timestamp, a DeliveryReceiptStatusId and a carrier code. Pass destination to see one number only. An empty list means no receipt has arrived yet (carriers can take up to 24 hours) or the campaign id is not on this account. SMS Everyone asks for no more than one request per minute in production. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/DRStatus.

Parameterslimitoffsetcampaign_idrequireddestination

smseveryone_list_replies

List SMS replies

List SMS replies received on the account: received time, the sender's number (Originator), the account number it was sent to (Recipient), the text and a reference id. Always asks for a time window (the last `days` days, 1 to 7, counted back to 12am yesterday for 1, or a date range of at most 30 days), which leaves the replies available for later calls. Default: days 1. Production polling is limited to once per minute per account through this MCP; five minutes is recommended. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/replies.

Parametersdayslimitoffsetdate_enddate_start

smseveryone_list_optouts

List opted-out numbers

List phone numbers in the account's optout database (messages to them are never sent): number, date added, reason. The API returns the whole list; this tool shows the first `limit` entries and the total. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/optouts with Action list.

Parameterslimitoffset

smseveryone_list_contact_lists

List contact lists

List the stored lists (CRM groups) of mobile numbers: list id (CrmId), description and number count. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/crm with Action list.

Parameterslimitoffset

smseveryone_get_contact_list

Get the numbers in a contact list

Show the mobile numbers stored in one list. The API returns the whole list; this tool shows the first `limit` numbers and the total count. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/crm with Action details.

Parameterslimitoffsetlist_idrequired

smseveryone_send_sms

Send SMS

WRITE: SENDS REAL SMS to real people and SPENDS CREDITS from the user's SMS Everyone account; a sent message cannot be recalled (a campaign scheduled for later can be cancelled with cancel_campaign). One message text to 1 to 25 phone numbers in international format without "+" (e.g. 61400123456 for Australia, 6421123456 for New Zealand). Cost = credits per part x number of parts x recipients: a text is 160 characters per part (153 when longer), and one emoji or non-English character makes it unicode: 70 characters per part (67 when longer), more credits. Numbers on the account's optout list are skipped. The originator is where the message appears to come from and must be one registered with SMS Everyone for the account (an Australian alphanumeric sender must be ACMA registered). Optional time_scheduled (YYYYMMDDHHmm in the account's time zone; a time in the past sends at once). Only send what the user explicitly asked for; confirm the text, recipients and sender first. No stored lists, no bulk. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/campaign with Action create.

Parametersconfirmrequiredmessagerequiredoriginatorrequireddestinationsrequiredtime_scheduled

smseveryone_cancel_campaign

Cancel a scheduled campaign

WRITE: deletes a scheduled SMS campaign so it is not sent. Only works before the campaign start time (afterwards SMS Everyone refuses it with an error code). It cannot be undone. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/campaign with Action delete.

Parametersconfirmrequiredcampaign_idrequired

smseveryone_pause_campaign

Pause a campaign

WRITE: pauses a scheduled campaign (or one that is sending; SMS Everyone sends over 1000 messages a second, so a running campaign usually finishes first). A campaign scheduled in the past cannot be paused. This server has no way to resume it: the user must do that in SMS Everyone. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/campaign with Action pause.

Parametersconfirmrequiredcampaign_idrequired

smseveryone_add_optouts

Opt numbers out

WRITE: adds 1 to 25 phone numbers to the account's optout database, so no later campaign is sent to them. This server cannot opt a number back in. Do it only when the user asks. SMS Everyone REST: POST /api/optouts with Action add.
