Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant read events, performances, memberships and order changes from one Spektrix ticketing system.

What you can do
  • List events with descriptions, durations and attributes, filtered by name, on-sale status or date range
  • List performances of one event, or across all events, for a date range with start times and on-sale status
  • List the memberships the system sells
  • List confirmed orders changed since a given time, paged up to 100 at a time, with tickets, seats, performances and totals
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a missing feature, and upgrade or cancel the paid plan
When to use it
Useful when you want to ask questions about a theatre or venue's programme and sales in plain language, such as what is on sale in the next month, which performances a show has, or which orders changed recently, without writing Spektrix API calls yourself.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at spektrix.usefulapi.io, added by URL only; sign-in is via OAuth. On first connect you supply your Spektrix client name, an API login name and an API secret key for an API user, which the server stores per user. A usefulapi.io account with a plan (free tier of 50 calls per month) is needed.
Before you install
You hand your Spektrix API login name and secret key to a third-party hosted service, which stores them per user. Order-change data includes customer ids, tickets, seats and totals, so it leaves Spektrix for that provider. The free tier is capped at 50 calls per month; paid plans cost money and are billed through a Stripe checkout link, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period. The order sync endpoint is Early Access and may not be enabled.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Spektrix MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fspektrix/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Spektrix MCP by usefulapi

Use your Spektrix account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. It reads events, performances, memberships and order changes of one Spektrix system. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://spektrix.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://spektrix.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http spektrix https://spektrix.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "spektrix": {      "url": "https://spektrix.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Spektrix credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/spektrix/

On first connect you provide your Spektrix client name (the part after system.spektrix.com/ in your system address), an API login name and an API secret key for an API user. The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
