Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for SuperPhone that lets an assistant read contacts, conversations and messages, manage tags, and send consent-based texts.

What you can do
  • Read the account, its phone numbers and notification preferences
  • List, look up and search contacts by mobile or email, with tags and purchase history
  • List conversations and read messages, including older pages, delivery status and media
  • Inspect sign-up forms, webhooks and purchasable phone numbers with prices
  • Create and update contacts, add or remove tags, and record purchases
  • Send a real text message from the account's number
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to answer questions about an SMS or Messenger inbox, look up a customer's history, or draft and send follow-up texts from a SuperPhone account without switching apps.
Requirements
Remote endpoint added by URL only; the server signs in with OAuth and the login page asks for SuperPhone credentials. No API key or Authorization header goes in the client config. A SuperPhone account is required; the free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
Write tools change SuperPhone data: creating and updating contacts, adding or removing tags (which can affect tag-driven automations), and recording purchases that cannot be undone here. Sending a text is irreversible, uses messaging credits and must respect unsubscribed or opted-out contacts. Paid plans are billed through a Stripe checkout link, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SuperPhone MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fsuperphone/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Connect your SuperPhone account.

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://superphone.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http superphone https://superphone.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "superphone": {      "url": "https://superphone.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your SuperPhone credentials.

Parametersvipcityemailnotesgenderhiddenmobilecompanycountrytwitterarchivedbirthday+9 more

superphone_update_contact

Update contact

WRITE: change fields of an existing contact. superphone_send_message

Send a text message

WRITE, IRREVERSIBLE: send a real text message to a customer from the account's number. It is delivered immediately, uses the account's messaging credits and cannot be recalled. Only send what the user explicitly asked for, to the number they named, and never to contacts who unsubscribed or opted out. Give exactly one of conversation_id (reply in an existing conversation) or mobile (a number, ideally E.164 like +12132679977; without a country code Superphone assumes the US). Returns the new message id. GraphQL mutation `sendMessage`.
