Overview

AI-generated overview

Connects an assistant to Taleez recruiting data: browse jobs, candidates, pools and interviews, and create or update candidate records.

What you can do
  • List and inspect job postings, pipeline steps, status history, application questions and job counts
  • Read candidates with their applications, custom properties, talent pools, documents and scheduled events
  • List talent pools, pool members, recruiters, units and company calendar events
  • Create and update candidates, set custom candidate properties, and add candidates to pools or jobs
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a missing feature, upgrade or cancel the paid plan
When to use it
Useful for recruiters or hiring teams already on Taleez who want to query their pipeline in natural language, e.g. which jobs are published, where a candidate stands, or which pools a person belongs to, and to add candidates without opening the app.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint added by URL only; sign-in is via OAuth with the user's Taleez credentials, so no API key or Authorization header goes in the client config. A Taleez account with a scoped API key is needed. Free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
Candidates are personal data (names, e-mail, phone, CV links, documents); use only for the user's own recruiting. Five tools write to Taleez: creating candidates is not idempotent, updates replace social links and location, and property updates can clear choices. Paid plans cost money via a Stripe checkout link, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Taleez MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Ftaleez/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Taleez MCP by usefulapi

Connect your scoped Taleez API key to an AI assistant.

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://taleez.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http taleez https://taleez.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "taleez": {      "url": "https://taleez.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Taleez credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/taleez/

taleez_create_candidate

Create candidate

WRITE: add a new candidate to the Taleez database (first and last name required; the e-mail, if given, must be unique in the company). Creates a record only: the candidate is not attached to a job and no e-mail is sent by this call. Not idempotent: calling twice with no mail creates two candidates. POST /0/candidates.

Parameterslangmailphonesourceunit_idlocationlast_namerequiredfirst_namerequiredrecruiter_idsocial_links

taleez_update_candidate

Update candidate

WRITE: change a candidate's name, e-mail, phone, social links or location. The current record is read first and unchanged name, mail and phone are sent back, so only what you pass changes (Taleez' update endpoint otherwise needs first and last name). Social links and location, when given, REPLACE the existing ones (an empty social_links object removes them all). Overwrites data; no message is sent. POST /0/candidates/{id}.

Parametersmailphonelocationlast_namefirst_namecandidate_idrequiredsocial_links

taleez_set_candidate_properties

Set candidate properties

WRITE: set custom property values on a candidate. For a property without choices pass value (DATE as yyyy-MM-dd); for a property with choices pass choices (choice ids, see taleez_list_candidate_properties). An empty choices list removes all selected choices unless append_choices is true. Overwrites the previous values of the listed properties. POST /0/candidates/{id}/properties.

Parameterspropertiesrequiredcandidate_idrequired

taleez_add_candidates_to_pool

Add candidates to a pool

WRITE: add existing candidates to a talent pool (see taleez_list_pools). Adding a candidate already in the pool is harmless. No message is sent. POST /0/pools/{id}/candidates.

Parameterspool_idrequiredcandidate_idsrequired

taleez_add_candidates_to_job

Add candidates to a job

WRITE: associate existing candidates to a job so they appear in its recruitment pipeline (the vendor's 'add candidates to a job'; this is an association made by the recruiter, not a candidate application, and this call sends no message). Pass location_id for a job with several locations. POST /0/jobs/{id}/candidates.
