Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted Timesheets.com connector that lets an assistant read users, clock status, items and time/payroll reports, and create users or assign items.

What you can do
  • List and inspect users, including pay and tracking settings
  • Create users and assign or remove customers, projects and account codes
  • List and read customers, projects, account codes, vendors and events; create and update vendors and events
  • Check clock status and running project timers per user or supervisor group
  • Pull hourly, project and expense reports, payroll periods and payroll previews, plus record revision history
  • Fetch company reference data such as status enums and timezone ids
When to use it
Useful when an assistant should answer questions about who is clocked in, how hours were spent by customer or project, or what a payroll period looks like, and when it should make small administrative changes such as adding a user or assigning projects.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint; no local install. Sign-in uses OAuth, and on first connect you supply a Timesheets.com API key and authorization token created by a Primary Administrator. No keys go in the client config. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month; paid plans raise the limit.
Before you install
Several tools write data: creating users, assigning or removing items, and creating or updating vendors and events. Creating a user can send an invitation email when send_notification_email is true. The server stores your Timesheets.com API key and authorization token per user. Paid plans are billed through a payment link, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Timesheets.com MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Ftimesheets-com/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Timesheets.com MCP by usefulapi

Use your Timesheets.com account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read users, clock status, items, project timers and reports, and create users or assign items to users. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://timesheets-com.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://timesheets-com.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http timesheets-com https://timesheets-com.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "timesheets-com": {      "url": "https://timesheets-com.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Timesheets.com credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/timesheets-com/

On first connect you provide the Timesheets.com API key and the authorization token (a Primary Administrator creates both in the API dashboard). The server validates them and stores them per user. No keys go in config files.
