Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted Zendesk MCP server that lets an assistant search and read tickets, users, organizations, macros and CSAT ratings, and create, update or comment on…

What you can do
  • Search across tickets, users, organizations and groups with Zendesk search syntax
  • List and fetch tickets, ticket comments, ticket fields and SLA/response metrics
  • Look up users, organizations, agent groups, saved views and macros, and run a saved view
  • List customer satisfaction ratings, optionally filtered by score
  • Create tickets, update ticket fields or status, and add public replies or internal notes
  • Check usage against the monthly call quota and manage the subscription
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to triage or summarize a Zendesk support queue, look up a customer or organization, review CSAT feedback, or draft and post ticket replies without leaving the chat client.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint added by URL only; sign-in is via OAuth, and on first connect you supply your Zendesk subdomain, agent email and API token. No local install or config-file keys. Network access to the hosted endpoint is required.
Before you install
Three tools write to Zendesk: creating tickets, updating tickets and adding comments; comments are public to the requester by default unless marked internal. Your Zendesk subdomain, agent email and API token are entered at the hosted provider and stored per user, so the provider can act on your Zendesk account. Usage is metered: 50 calls per month free, paid plans cost money and are billed through a checkout link, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Zendesk MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fzendesk/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Zendesk MCP by usefulapi

Use your Zendesk account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — read tickets, users, organizations, macros and satisfaction ratings, and create, update or comment on tickets. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://zendesk.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://zendesk.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http zendesk https://zendesk.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "zendesk": {      "url": "https://zendesk.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Zendesk credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/zendesk/

On first connect you'll provide your Zendesk subdomain, agent email and API token (Admin Center → Apps and integrations → APIs). It is validated, stored per-user, and scoped to you — no keys in config files.
