Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted Ziflow connector that lets an assistant search and read proofs, comments and activity, and add or resolve review comments.

What you can do
  • List, search and inspect proofs, including stages, reviewers, deadlines and version data
  • Read comments and replies on a proof, and its activity log
  • Browse folders, users, contacts, workflow templates and webhook subscriptions
  • Create proofs from downloadable file or video URLs and add approvers or commenters to a stage
  • Add comments at a page or time range, and resolve or reopen comments
  • Check usage, request a feature, and manage or cancel a paid plan
When to use it
Useful when a team runs design or document reviews in Ziflow and wants an assistant to answer questions like which proofs are late or have changes required, what unresolved comments remain on a proof, or what happened on a proof last week, and to post or resolve comments without leaving the chat.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint, no local install. Sign-in is by OAuth; on first connect you supply your Ziflow API key (from View Profile), which the server validates and stores per user. No API key or Authorization header goes in the client config. A free tier allows 50 tool calls per month; paid plans are billed separately.
Before you install
Write tools create proofs, add reviewers (which may notify them), add comments visible to every reviewer, and resolve or reopen comments; confirm before running them. Creating a proof needs URLs Ziflow can download, so local files must be uploaded to approved storage first. Your Ziflow API key is stored by the third-party host. Paid plans cost money and are billed through a checkout link; cancellation runs to the end of the paid period with no refund.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Ziflow MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fziflow/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Ziflow MCP by usefulapi

Use your Ziflow account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read proofs, comments, folders, users and activity, and add or resolve comments on a proof. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://ziflow.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://ziflow.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http ziflow https://ziflow.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "ziflow": {      "url": "https://ziflow.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Ziflow credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/ziflow/

On first connect you provide your Ziflow API key (View Profile → API Key). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.

ziflow_create_proof

Create proof from file or video URLs

WRITE: import files/videos into new Ziflow proofs from URLs Ziflow can download (including signed URLs or S3 with a configured credentials nickname). Local file bytes are not accepted by this API: upload them to approved storage first. Set approver/commenter permissions per stage and include owner_email as a reviewer in at least one stage. Multiple sources create a batch unless combine=true (combining depends on the Ziflow plan). Processing is asynchronous; use ziflow_get_proof to check completion. May email reviewers after processing; suppress_all_emails=true disables proof emails. Not idempotent: never automatically repeat creation after an uncertain result. POST /proofs.

Parametersnamerequiredstagesrequiredcombineconfirmsourcesrequiredfolder_idowner_emailrequiredsuppress_all_emails

ziflow_add_reviewers

Add approvers or commenters to a stage

WRITE: add reviewers to an existing proof stage, with explicit approver (comment + decision) or commenter (comment only) permissions. Neither grants management or sharing rights. May notify reviewers. Does not move reviewers out of other stages. Get proof/stage IDs with ziflow_get_proof. Not idempotent; do not automatically retry. POST /proofs/{proof_id}/stages/{stage_id}/reviewers.
