Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server that checks a proposed Hyperliquid HIP-3 / trade.xyz order against your own TradePolicy and returns allow, review or do_not_trade.

What you can do
  • Evaluate a proposed HIP-3 / trade.xyz order against a local TradePolicy and get a decision of allow, review or do_not_trade.
  • Read the rule-by-rule reasons behind each decision.
  • Apply policy rules such as maximum notional, allowed markets, allowed sides, maximum leverage and how unknown markets are handled.
  • Run the check deterministically and offline as a gate in front of your own order flow.
When to use it
Use it when an agent proposes HIP-3 / trade.xyz orders and you want a local, rule-based gate that flags or blocks orders before they reach your own execution flow. It is a policy check only, not an order router or advisor.
Requirements
A local Node.js runtime to run the npm package @paystage/trade-preflight, typically via npx. No environment variables or credentials are declared; the policy is passed as a tool argument. No network access is needed to evaluate a policy.
Before you install
It does not place, route or recommend trades, and its output is not financial advice; the decision is only as good as the policy you supply. The policy, including limits and allowed markets, is passed in as a tool argument, so review it before relying on the gate.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open PayStage Trade Preflight in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

README

@paystage/trade-preflight

MCP tool: evaluate HIP-3 / trade.xyz orders against a local TradePolicy before trading.

Not financial advice. This is a local policy gate only — it does not place orders, route orders, or recommend trades. It evaluates a proposed order against rules you define and returns a decision.

Published on npm as @paystage/[email protected].

What it does

Given a proposed HIP-3 / trade.xyz order and a local policy file, the server returns one of:

  • allow — the order satisfies every rule in the policy
  • review — the order needs a human or higher-level check before proceeding
  • do_not_trade — the order violates a hard rule in the policy

The decision is deterministic and local. No network calls are required to evaluate a policy; the tool is a gate you put in front of your own order flow.

Install

Run directly with npx:

sh
npx -y @paystage/trade-preflight

Or install it:

sh
npm install @paystage/trade-preflight

The package exposes a stdio MCP server (bin: paystage-trade-preflight).
