Translate PDF documents to any language while preserving original structure, layout, and styling (colors, backgrounds, positions). Use when user wants to: (1) translate a PDF to another language, (2) convert PDF from one language to another, (3) create translated version of PDF document. Triggers: "translate PDF", "PDF翻译", "把PDF翻译成", "translate this PDF to Chinese/English/Japanese", "翻译成中文/英文"

AI-generated overview

Translates PDF documents into another language while preserving the original layout, colors, and background styling.

What it does
The skill extracts the unique text strings from a PDF, has the agent build a JSON mapping of original to translated text, and then applies that mapping back into the PDF. It ships two Python scripts: one for extraction and one for applying translations with a chosen font. The result is a new translated PDF with the original structure and styling retained.
When to use it
Use it when a user wants a PDF translated into another language, converted from one language to another, or turned into a translated copy of the original document. It suits requests such as translating a PDF into Chinese, English, or Japanese.
Requirements
Python runtime to run the two bundled scripts, plus a PDF input file and a translations JSON file. Font selection depends on the target language (Latin, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, or Korean).
