Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant browse AFAS Software connectors and read their fields and records through the AFAS Profit REST API.

What you can do
  • List the GetConnectors and UpdateConnectors activated in the user's AFAS environment, and verify the environment and token work
  • Inspect one connector's field names, types and lengths before filtering or sorting
  • Read records from a connector with AND-combined filters, sorting and skip/take paging
  • Check monthly tool-call usage and manage the subscription (upgrade, cancel) or send a feature request
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to query AFAS Software business data, such as financial entries or article records, without building your own integration. It suits read-only lookups and exploration of which connectors and fields your AFAS environment exposes.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at afas-software.usefulapi.io, added by URL only; no local install. Sign-in is via OAuth, and on first connect you supply your AFAS environment ID, environment type and an AFAS app connector token created in Profit. No keys go in config files.
Before you install
The server stores your AFAS app connector token per user, so treat it as a credential. Free plan is limited to 50 tool calls a month; paid plans cost $9/month or $90/year (Pro) and $39/month or $390/year (Pro+), and upgrades return Stripe Checkout links, so confirm spending with the user. Cancellation has no refund for the current period. The listed tools are read-only, but the server also exposes meta tools that change subscription state.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AFAS Software MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fafas-software/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

AFAS Software MCP by usefulapi

Use your AFAS Software account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Browse the connectors your AFAS app connector activates, and read their fields and records. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://afas-software.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://afas-software.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http afas-software https://afas-software.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "afas-software": {      "url": "https://afas-software.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your AFAS Software credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/afas-software/

On first connect you provide your AFAS environment ID (the number in your AFAS address, for example 12345 from O12345AA), the environment type and an AFAS app connector token (created in Profit under General → Management → App connector). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
