Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MemberSuite (GrowthZone) connector that lets an assistant search members, memberships and saved searches, run MSQL queries, and update contact fields.

What you can do
  • Check the connected API user and tenant, including member-benefit status
  • Search individual contacts and membership records with MSQL statements
  • Run arbitrary MSQL queries across modules, including joins and paged results
  • List public saved searches and run one by its ID
  • Update selected fields of a single individual, including custom fields
  • Report usage, request a feature, and manage or cancel the subscription
When to use it
Useful when you work in MemberSuite or GrowthZone and want an assistant to answer questions about people, memberships and event registrations, or to make small contact updates without opening the console.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint reached over streamable HTTP; no local install. Sign-in uses OAuth, and the login page asks for a Tenant ID (Association Key), plus the email and password of an API user issued by MemberSuite (GrowthZone). Credentials are stored per user by the service. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month; paid plans are available.
Before you install
The update tool changes MemberSuite contact data, so confirm before running it. The service receives your MemberSuite API user credentials and tenant ID and stores them per user. Paid plans involve payment through a checkout link, and cancelling does not refund the current period. Usage is metered, with a 50-call monthly free limit.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open MemberSuite MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fmembersuite/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

MemberSuite MCP by usefulapi

Use your MemberSuite account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Search members and memberships, run saved searches and queries, and update contact fields. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://membersuite.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://membersuite.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http membersuite https://membersuite.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "membersuite": {      "url": "https://membersuite.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your MemberSuite credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/membersuite/

On first connect you provide a Tenant ID (Association Key: MemberSuite Console → Setup → Association Settings) and the API user email and password of an API user that MemberSuite (GrowthZone) issues on request. The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.

membersuite_whoami

Who am I

Return the API user and tenant that this connection uses, including ReceivesMemberBenefits status fields. Good first call. REST: GET /platform/v2/whoami.

Takes no parameters.

membersuite_search_individuals

Search individuals

Search individual contacts (people) with an MSQL statement, for example SELECT LocalID, FirstName, LastName, EmailAddress FROM Individual WHERE (LastName = 'Smith'). Use the ID column to update a person later. REST: GET /crm/v1/individuals/{tenantId}?msql=.

Parametersmsqlrequiredpagepage_size

membersuite_search_memberships

Search memberships

Search membership records with an MSQL statement, for example SELECT Owner.Name, Type.Name, JoinDate, ExpirationDate, ReceivesMemberBenefits FROM Membership. ReceivesMemberBenefits = true means an active member. REST: GET /membership/v1/memberships/{tenantId}?msql=.

Parametersmsqlrequiredpagepage_size

membersuite_run_msql

Run an MSQL query

Run any MSQL statement across modules, including joins. Use it for event registrations, for example SELECT LocalID, Individual.FirstName, Individual.LastName FROM EventRegistration('{eventGuid}') WHERE (CancellationDate IS NULL AND OnWaitList = 0). Pages with startPosition (row offset). REST: POST /platform/v2/dataSuite/executeSearch.

Parametersmsqlrequiredstart_position

membersuite_list_saved_searches

List public saved searches

List the public saved searches in the Console, with their IDs. Filter by part of the name (letters, digits, spaces, _ . -). Use an ID with membersuite_run_saved_search. REST: POST /platform/v2/dataSuite/executeSearch with SavedSearch MSQL.

Parametersname_contains

membersuite_update_individual

Update an individual

Change the listed fields of one individual (contact). Only the fields you pass change. Pass standard fields in fields (for example FirstName, EmailAddress, Work_PhoneNumber) and custom fields (names ending __c) in custom_fields. Idempotent: the same call twice leaves the same data. Test in a MemberSuite Sandbox first. REST: PATCH /crm/v1/individuals/patch/{individualId}.
