Remote MCP server that gives an assistant current local time for any place and converts times between cities, handling daylight saving.
What you can do
Look up the current local time, date, weekday, UTC offset and daylight-saving status for a city, country or time zone, in any language.
Get every time zone for countries that span several.
Convert a local time from one place to one or more other places, with daylight saving applied for that date, for meeting planning.
When to use it
Useful when someone asks what time it is somewhere, or when scheduling calls and meetings across cities and time zones and the assistant needs accurate offsets and daylight-saving handling.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared. The server resolves unknown place names using OpenStreetMap data.
Before you install
Read-only lookups; no credentials or writes are involved. Place names are sent to the remote service, and unknown cities are resolved through OpenStreetMap, so queries leave the user's machine.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.faceabot%2Fworld-time/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Current local time, date, weekday, UTC offset and daylight-saving status for any city, country or time zone in the world (any language: "Tokyo", "東京", "Brasil", "America/New_York", "UTC+3"). Countries with several time zones return each zone.
Use when: someone asks what time it is somewhere, or you need a place's time zone.
Example: {"place":"Sydney"}
